1937 Pre WWII Singer Featherweight with Case and Extras

An Exceptionally Rare Pre WWII 1937 Singer Featherweight. Serial number AE419064 was made March 15, 1937. These Featherweights are getting harder and harder to find. This sewing machine still works well and overall is in amazing condition. The featherweight has the scroll faceplate.

The bed is in excellent shape for its age. The finish on the machine is in extremely good condition with a bright shine and only a few scratches. The decorative border around the base of the featherweight is in very good condition. It only shows some wear appropriate to its age.

The featherweight has been tested, cleaned and serviced. The belt (super belt), light (LED), felt pad, protective silicon button, bed cushions and red spool pin cover are all new.

The featherweight has had the motor pulley removed to check for thread, the rotary hook assembly and balanced wheel have also been checked for any thread. The foot pedal has been inspected, cleaned and new cushion put on. The electrical cord on the foot pedal is new. The bobbin case has been set to 23g.

A new needle is also in the machine. I have included a sample stitch that was done on the machine before I listed it.

The case is in good condition with some wear (see pictures). I have replaced the leather handle with a replica handle from the Featherweight Shop. The case still has the removable tray and oil can holder. The featherweight comes with 3 bobbins, an original bobbin case, an original pressor foot, a narrow hemmer, a ruffler, an edge stitcher, an adjustable hemmer, a bias binder with multi slotted guide pins and shirring foot (aka gathering foot) in a vintage Singer attachment box. The featherweight comes with everything seen in the photos. The featherweight, any attachment box and foot pedal in packing cellophane then put bubble wrap inside the case.

I then wrapped the case in cellophane. I take the spool pin cover off and put a piece of cardboard to cover the opening. I wrap the spool pin cover in cellophane and bubble wrap.

I then put the spool pin cover in the case. MY GOAL IS TO BE AS ACCURATE AS POSSIBLE IN MY DESCRIPTIONS. I WILL GET BACK WITH YOU ASAP.
