This is a beautiful model 127 antique Singer treadle sewing machine head dating to 1918, 105 years old, by serial number G6111327, and decorated in the superb Sphinx decoration scheme. All the metal parts on this machine are nickel plated. All the metal parts such as the slide plates, handwheel etc. Are original to the machine. This machine is in very good condition for the year.
Sphinx decals are in excellent vivid condition with some wear but mostly intact , all nickel plated parts such as the front slide plates, balance wheel, stitch length knob, needle plate all in excellent shape with no wear. The beautiful black enamel paint is truly in amazingly shiny condition with light wear. The ornate front and side cover plates are in excellent condition.
We tested the tensioner, the bobbin winder, stitch length adjustment, and this machine runs and as smooth and quiet as the day it was made in 1918 and sews a great stitch. We threaded it up, and it sewed beautiful stitches as seen in my photo of the sample stitching, so smoothly. Comes with the bullet shuttle and bobbin. This machine is a piece of sewing history in awesome condition. We will pack carefully to ensure a safe arrival.
