Beautiful 1924 Singer 127 Sphinx Treadle Sewing Machine Head Tested Antique. This is a beautiful model 127 antique Singer treadle sewing machine head dating to 1924 by serial number JA073990! This machine is nearly 100 years old!!! Something to think about, you can replace the parts on these machines but you can't replace the original decals, and these truly are beautiful!
All the metal parts on this machine are nickel plated and polished to shine! There is something about the antique machines that just amazes you with their beauty and amazing longevity. This machine is in amazing antique condition.
The Sphinx decals are gorgeous and mostly intact. They are in remarkably good condition, holding their gold colour, with typical usage wear for a 100 year old machine. All the decals are pretty much there, with a little bit of fading. All nickel plated metal parts are in amazing shiny condition. The beautiful black enamel paint is bold and shiny condition, with some minor wear. We tested the tensioner, the bobbin winder and the stitch length adjustment. This machine runs as smooth and quiet as the day it was made in 1913 and sews a great stitch. We threaded it up, and it sewed beautiful stitches as seen in the photo of the sample stitching. Amazing Singer quality as usual. This Singer 127 comes with the bullet shuttle and 2 bobbins.
