This little 1955 Singer 222K has been lovingly restored and is sewing perfectly, smoothly and oh so quiet. This model of Singer is highly sought after by we quilters because they are lightweight to take to class or groups and still sew a perfect straight stitch.
When the removable bed is taken off, it has one of the smallest free arms which are just perfect for making dolls clothes and babies sleeves. She has new bed cushions, new foot control rubbers, new belt, her hook has been removed and cleaned, her motor has had the old grease removed and been greased with the correct melting point grease in her grease nipples. She has her tensions reset set to factory settings using a tension meter.
She has been cleaned with zymol cleaner and polished to a high shine with zymol titanium to increase the durability of her shine. There are some small blemishes on the backside of the table which I have photographed. The item "Singer 222K Featherweight Free Arm Sewing Machine 1955" is in sale since Tuesday, November 2, 2021.
