Here is a pre-war (November 11, 1941) Singer #99 portable machine based on the full size Singer Model 66. The 99 was one of the very first portable sewing machines produced for home use.
It not only revolutionized home sewing, but it also made it possible for people who did not have space in their homes for a full-size treadle sewing machine to have the convenience of sewing in the comfort of their own homes. This Singer Model #99 is fitted in a dull but very serviceable bentwood hard case. The SN is AG233407 which dates it as manufactured in November, 1941. This machine is in very good condition, the case shows its age for sure, it is age-worn but it's done its job and kept the machine well protected. The machine itself looks great.Included are the pedal, bobbin case, spare bobbins, and owner's instruction manual. The United States was preparing for war in 1941, so this bears the utility wrinkle-black finish identifying it was a war machine.
It is in excellent sewing condition, the electrical wiring is recently replaced. This item is in the category "Collectibles\Sewing (1930-Now)\Machines".online" and is located in this country: US.
