This is one of my favorite machines, a gorgeous 1955 Singer sewing machine model 301A slant needle in the beautiful dual tone beige and cream color with mounting bracket to mount into your cabinet. Very important to have the bracket that simply clips onto the bottom of the machine to fit into your cabinet.Serial number NB 179759 made in Anderson South Carolina. Comes with the original manual and spare bobbin. Bobbin case is in the machine. Simply an outstanding machine in all respects! The 301A was built to very high standards. Sometimes called the 221 featherweights big sister it uses the same bobbin case and bobbins as the featherweight. Constructed of aluminum the machine only weighs 16 1/2 lbs and has a very convenient carry handle built into the top of the machine that's recesses flat when not in use. This makes this machine extremely easy to carry.
Also has flip up bed extension that again makes this machine very compact. We threaded this beauty, checked all functions, oiled and cleaned it and sewed some nice tight stitches as seen in photos. The machine ran smooth and fast and has a great sound! All the paint is in beautiful condition and very shiny. Hard to find even a pin mark on the bed.
One very small rub mark on the back side. Controller and power cord are in beautiful condition. The bottom cover is a good indication of the super condition of this sewing machine. Mechanicals inside are amazingly clean.
