5 compartments - the bottom is one large compartment, the square compartments measure 8.25inch sq x 1.75inch depth. Each side has a hinged lid.
The dimensions are 16.25 x 8 1/8 x 12 5/8 in. It's fully stocked with supplies. The sewing machine is in very good condition with normal signs of wear, it is functional and seems to work without issues. It will need to be oiled. The flashlight Singer, CAT No.
S - 1 does not turn on - It could just need a new bulb, but I don't know for sure. Original instructions are included - they're not in great shape but the book is in tact and the pages are legible. The wooden box & lid are all in tact but it is fragile. There is a significant chip near the handle of the lid, and as-is the handle cannot support the weight of the machine. The machine is hinged so you can access the bottom compartment & the bottom of the machine.
The bottom of the case is weak & may not hold up much longer - the sides of the lower shell are sturdy so the bottom of the case could likely be reinforced. A working key is included for the lid lock, but it is not original. This item is in the category "Collectibles\Sewing (1930-Now)\Machines".
