Beautiful shiny machine looks great and sews well. Replacement bobbin case and belt. Paint shows usual minor signs of careful use. Extremely close inspection with a super bright light, at just the right angle, also shows some some of the base paint toward the back of the machine. During normal use and regular room light, the paint looks nice.

It appears this Centennial Featherweight has had minimal use since it was serviced in 1984. Machine has been cleaned, oiled, and tested again in 2022.More photos available upon request. As Singer approached its 100th year anniversary, they anticipated and planned to celebrate with Centennial Singer 221 sewing machines.
This is why some older machines have a 1951 badge. However, as the centennial celebratory year was coming to a close, the badges would have been gradually phased out. The serial number for this machine AJ931469 was reserved by Singer in 1950. This machine was produced in the Elizabethport, NJ Singer plant.
